Squarely in the "grand-hotel tradition", this 1923 Downtown landmark still emits an "Old Hollywood" ambiance, right down to the bar area that "takes you back in time"; while the lobby (with its marble floors and coffered ceiling) is "unforgettable" in its "grandeur", critics prefer to cede this "decent but not awesome" "aging dowager" to "history buffs", given the "merely serviceable rooms" that need an "update."

Convenient location, friendly staff.
Outrageously expensive parking.

Beautiful hotel interior and lobby but the room definitely showed its age and although was clean, it looked shabby. The TV was very small, old and in an inconvenient location. The parking was valet only and incredibly expensive ($40) which pretty much negated the savings on the room. ...read more

Beautiful, historic, and conveniently located.
Lower floors very noisy due to closeness of streets and freeways.

This was our third stay in less than two weeks. The first two nights were wonderful on the 8th floor. Beautiful view, quiet with a feeling of having stepped back in time. This stay, however, was on the 3rd floor, and even though the staff was wonderful, the noise from the street was not. Plus, we were bothered early in the morning by what sounded like helicopters landing, hovering or taking off non-stop for hours. Sort of ruined the experience. If that had happened during the 1st stay we probably would not have been back , not realizing that the noise was not a problem on all floors. Plus, parking is a bit steep at $40.00 per night. ...read more

This is a gorgeous place with tons of history.
The $19 (per park), $40 (per day valet) parking.

The history of the Millennium Biltmore alone is worth the visit. If the walls could talk! The beauty, glamor and luxury will make you want to return as soon as possible. I could see myself living here. The staff was exceptionally knowledgeable about the area. ...read more

Upscale and accessible.
Noisy, parking was over expensive, no free wireless access.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. however, in the middle of the night we heard teenagers running and yelling down the hall. The shower was great, the bathroom had a classic look, but the television was obnoxiously small. ...read more
